All Happy Life services are provided On Site for your convenience and to enhance outcomes in your personal working and living spaces, such as your office, classroom, favorite beach, or Yoga studio.
I have practiced as a Physical Therapist for 25 years. I greatly understand the power of prevention. My passion is to provide education to individuals, local businesses, school districts, and entire communities to integrate healthy habits, including more movement throughout the day, while using their bodies correctly to reduce injury and set them up for a happy path in life.

With rising health care costs, 100 million Americans suffering from chronic pain, some children reporting neck and back pain as young as 7 or 8, the opioid crisis, rates of depression, psychological distress and suicidal thoughts and actions rising dramatically among people 26 and younger, an innovative intervention is critical to protect our society as a whole and to improve health care tremendously.
An innovative intervention presented by Happy Life Boutique Physical Therapy for all ages can improve posture and resilience, build self-esteem, increase focus, prevent or significantly reduce unnecessary episodes of emotional and physical pain, assist with self-regulation, reinforce good nutrition, develop healthy sleep patterns, help individuals gain a better balance in life, enhance overall health, lengthen life, and ultimately increase happiness.
Happy Life will observe the classroom for a designated period of time.
Once the assessment is completed, a comprehensive plan will be designed specific to each classroom for the teachers and students. If teachers are agreeable, a pamphlet will be sent home to parents as well. If the entire environment is following these Happy Life guidelines, changes in behavior will be more likely to occur than if only one or two people are presented with these ideas.
A multitude of other educational opportunities include awareness, brain superfoods, change the world to fit you, computer vision syndrome, exercise snacking, flexible classrooms, optimism, sleep, and beyond.
This is a fabulous treasure for teachers and children to improve focus, decrease "getting settled time" after recess and coming in from another class, etc., lower anxiety, and reduce risk of neck and back pain with frequent use of technology and sitting more frequently. Nature-Infused Experience at Pura Vida
(Pura Vida is a private residence on Lake Michigan in Ludington. The address is not revealed until guests officially book this.)
Your experience will be filled with fresh air, majestic views of Lake Michigan, gentle stretching, creative/quiet time on the beach (you must be able to do many stairs to get to the beach) or creative/quiet time can be atop the bluff (spectacular view of Lake Michigan and no steps required), visualization exercises, and more.
A new book is on the way...
It will be a comprehensive, forward-thinking approach to a happy, healthy, and balanced life. I don't want to give too many details to keep the suspense. :) I am hopeful for a release date in Fall of 2025.

It was exciting to be part of this wonderful evening. The dental society has always been a strong advocate of prevention. Great minds think alike!
Happy Life will approach school districts and businesses of varying types to encourage better health and safer working procedures not only for the employees and employers but also for the customers.
For example, I have seen many customers over the years lift heavy bags of potting soil into their trunks with poor body mechanics. I wonder how much harm they will do to their bodies when home gardening? Most likely, they will be in some pain by Monday am. Maybe they call in to work sick, go to the doctor for pain medicine, miss their kids' sporting activities for the week, and the cycle goes on and on. Pain can quickly spin out of control and become chronic if the proper channels are not there to educate people how to safely use their bodies on a daily basis.
Basic education at your local hardware or grocery store for proper lifting mechanics or relaxation procedures at your local dentist office before a long procedure are just a couple ideas on Happy Life reaching out to the community to improve the health of many at one time.

I moved to Michigan in 2000 and have worked in a plethora of settings over the years, including outpatient orthopedics, pediatrics, acute, sub-acute, transitional, and long-term care, home health, wound healing, work hardening, and research.
I have a wonderful husband, three amazing boys, three very fuzzy and food-oriented Labrador Retrievers, and loving parents and in-laws who are my everyday sunshine and inspiration. I place ultimate value on family and will incorporate the parts of life you value most into your voyage with Happy Life.
My mission is injury prevention, stress management, and population health to ultimately increase the community's health. Prevention is powerful and has unimaginable effects, including saving you from years of physical and emotional pain, episodes of financial loss, and overall stress daily.
My focus is on an upstream model of prevention versus the downstream model of treatment of chronic pain that I provided for two decades. Injury prevention consulting and population health on site in local businesses, school districts, and our whole community is my entire focus!
